Interoperable 3D Emergency Routing Based on OpenLS

چکیده
In this paper we introduce the concept and the implementation of an Emergency Route Service 3D (ERS3D), which is based on the already established OGC Standards OpenLS and which further covers the following two aspects: Firstly, the possibility to bypass restricted areas or closed streets during disaster situations and secondly the ability to return a 3D route geometry that can be integrated into a 3D application. Within the project OK-GIS (Open and free GIS for Disaster Management) a Route Service based on OpenLS Specifications was implemented. This was then taken as the basis for building more complex services. Based on the initial Route Service an Emergency Route Service (ERS) was developed, along with a 3D Route Service (3DRS). The combination of the 3DRS and the ERS then resulted in a 3D Emergency Route Service (3DERS). An important aspect is that this can be achieved solely using OGC standards, so no further standards need to be specified for this application. Moreover this shows that more complex services can be realized by combining existing OGC services and integrating them into a 3D spatial data infrastructure.

Extending the OGC OpenLS Route Service to 3D for an interoperable realisation of 3D focus maps with landmarks
Landmarks and focus maps can play an important role by supporting users in route finding and navigation. This article shows one possible solution for generating focus-based maps with landmarks by only using OGC web service standards. The aim is to increase technical interoperability of implementation of location-based services or navigation applications. The techniques for choosing specific lan...

The OGC OWS testbeds are conducted annually with partners from the industry, research institutes and universities. A Decision Support Scenario (DSS) has been designed for investigating the combination and usage of different OGC standard specification technologies such as a Web Map Service or Web 3D Service inside such a thread. The scenario comprises a emergency situation inside a federal build...

Background and Objective: Due to the importance of time in choosing the optimal routing to reduce the damage caused by accidents in critical situations such as earthquakes, fires, etc., the structural form of the route has a significant impact on the selection of people in emergencies. It can also be very effective in the work for designers, managers and urban planners for disaster risk managem...
متن کاملProposal to define common resources for OpenGIS Location Services
Spatial information is getting ever more prominent on the web. As envisioned by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) a spatial strand has been woven into the web. However, the buildup of the geospatial web takes place with scarce utilization of OGC standards only. One reason might be of architectural nature. Many successful web services follow the paradigm of Representational State Transfer (RE...

Way finding or routing has been always used by common people in navigating from one place (of origin) to another (destination). And most of them are in two dimensional routing or network. In orthogonal concept, two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) routing uses planar or non-planar graph and spatial extend, where the third dimension is used to calculate the weights for the edges in the...
